Mundaring Water Treatment PlantThe Mundaring Water Treatment Plant was awarded to Amec services as a lump sum Structural, Mechanical & Piping contract by Brookfield Multiplex in 2012. The project was conducted to provide 165ML/D of treated water for around 33,000 rural & town services that comprise the Goldfields & Agricultural Water Supply Scheme. Amec Services were responsible for the design, installation & construction of the following above ground structural / mechanical & piping works associated with the Main Water Treatment Plant & adjoining Pump Station “Câ€.
Detailed Engineering Design Fabrication & Installation of all pipe supports included the detail drafting of all structural steel constructions.
All structural steel / MSCL pipe works / HDPE pipe work / Stainless steel pipe work was pre fabricated off site, utilising Amec Services workshop in Bibra Lake.

Testing & commissioning of the installation included complete survey reports and hydro testing of pipe line assemblies. The complete SMP installation took 11 months and over 84,000 man hours to complete with no lost time injuries. |
